oOooOoo! Massages are one of the best feelings in the world!! They're so good for you ,too! Try a Swedish massage...deep tissue might be too intense for your first time! Some places even ask you if there's a certain area you want them to work on. I would say the neck--it feels SO good when massaged...mmmm :D

I agree with Jenna, definately don't go for deep tissue or Shiatsu the first time around unless you're feeling it of course. They're both intense. Hot stone and lymphatic drainage massages are my favorites now. The latter because I've been fasting a lot this year and seems to help with detox and releasing toxins.
Enjoy!

Oh, yes, hot stone massages are wonderful!! I had one earlier this year--felt sooo good! It was so different from any type of massage I've had. Lymphatic drainage sounds cool, I'll have to find a place around here that does that

The only place I've been able to find a therapist who does this is at a hot springs that I visit. I hope you can find someone because it's great. My skin is always glowing afterwards from clearing out the lymph nodes you know. :)

Cranial Sacral is more of an energy-aligning thing....I have had it and it is nice, but a much different ball of string from the others....

I prefer swedish with deep tissue on the neck. IF you really want to go all out, go for a 90 minute massage. It allows more time to really work on the whole body.
