I just made Alissa's Pecan Pie and it's incredible, you could call it sugar pie if you skipped the cup of pecans on top! And what I like best is that it's an incredible 5500 calories! I have over 10 raw recipe books and this one is definately my favorite, and I barely tried 10 or so recipes so far (but have remade many of those several times already).

raweater,

I gotta try this recipe and I have Alissa's book too but haven't made that one yet. In my SAD days pecan pie was my favourite dessert.

Mmmm, I keep coming back to this thread and thinking "If only Alissa's book wasn't packed up!" (moving soon...)

Please see my comments about loosing weight in my Alissa's blueberry pie question thread. You do not need to count/limit fat/calories/sugar on raw, you can eat what you want when you want and will still loose weight as long as it's raw. The calorie/fat/sugar myth is only partially true when eating cooked or otherwise unnatural food, when what you're eating is natural like raw food, your body will self balance.

I totally agree with you Raweater...but the body will only self-regulate if one listens and follows what their body is telling them. If one is eating an un-balanced Raw diet, then they sure can gain and/or just not lose. Balance is key, in my opinion. Deb
