I'm a bit confused if I should add water to my green smoothies?
I have read that one should add water to break down the sweetness in the fruits and then I also read to not add water or a bit to get them mixing.
Which is the right way to go?
Thanks.

I don't know about the "right" way but I add a little bit of water, like probably a cup b/c it's easier to blend up the greens w/ the fluid in there.

I do add 1-2 cups of water. I am not a great water drinker and this way I start my day with some water in my smoothie. And, my very old blender wouldn't blend without it!

I expect its a matter of personal preference and equiptment power. Personally i only recently started my Raw journey with Green Smoothies and i found that although i enjoyed the taste with more water, i got hungry quicker. The thicker one 'seemed' more satisfying.
It was definately smoother with more water.

I find that if I add 2 cups of water I do get hungrier quicker, if the smoothies are thick I feel more satiated for a lot longer.
I enjoy the taste with the thicker smoothies as the watered down ones.

I add water - 2 cups.
Also I have found that if I take my time drinking my GS? I don't get as hungry as quick.
However YOU like your green smoothies - that is the secret. There is no right or wrong.

It's necessary for me to add water to cover the blades of my osterizer blender as I don't have a vitamix yet. I like the texture of my green smoothies with a little extra water added personally - I like them thick. In contrast, I like to add about 2-3 cups of water when making fruit smoothies...like them a bit more watery.
