This is such a great movie. I just bought it an watched it last weekend:

My question is: did they actually CURE their diabetes or were they controlling it w/ their diet?

I only saw the youtube clip but it seems that these people had their blood sugar under control because they were eating a live food, low glycemic diet.

Yes, if they continue on live food they'll probably be able to stay off insulin, however, if they eat crap again they'll be right back to out of control blood sugars, right? I think to truly be cured, their pancreas would work just like someone who has NEVER had diabetes if they went back to a SAD diet.

I certainly hope they all stay on live food but if they don't I'd bet their blood sugar will be an issue pretty quickly again.

One of the participants with type 1, who did not previously produce insulin began to produce it. Yes, they will need to continue to eat well. My understanding is that adult onset diabetis is a lifestyle disease...I know not always...but often results after years of self abuse with bad food choices. I thought it was a very inspirational movie and really showed what a difference the choices we make can mean towards good health.
