i am on day 6 of a 10 day colon cleanse. 3 steps, 2 are herbal capsules and one is powdered fiber(flax and more, totally natural) I have bad bloating, slight constipation(no "urge") and gas.
I have eased upon the powder(my DH weighs 65 lbs more than i do & we take the same dose...never could figure out the one size fits all for this kind of stuff!)
should i try a "smooth move tea"? or enema? or probiotics?
i am going on vacaton in 2 weeks & would really like my tummy to go back to flat!!!
any help with this would be great!!!
TIA!

Make sure you're drinking enough water.
Lots of Fiber + Dehydration = Bloating

Tomorrow morning before you eat anything do a salt water flush.
2 teaspoons of sea salt (must be sea salt) in 32 ozs of pure water*
*anything but tap water for obvious reasons unless you have a filter of course
Drink it down within 10 minutes and then hang close to a bathroom for 1-2 hours. You will release any solid waste first and then it will be more liquidy as your colon flushes.
It's safe, it works and it will get rid of the bloat. Just my opinion.
If you don't want to do this, try increasing your water intake. When you're taking all of those herbs if you're not flushing, they tend to stick with you and cause dehydration and cause constipation You need to really drink a lot of water when you're cleansing. I don't want to assume that you're not, just sharing!
Good luck!

Thanks rawheaven, i will try the flush.
I am drinking a ton of water, will try more though.
did some web searching & it seems to be a common problem.(bloating etc... during a cleanse)

Best wishes Tropigal.
To be more specific with the water...i've read and heard from other cleansers/fasters that you should be drinking half your body weight in water.
For example, if you weigh 140 lbs, you should be drinking close to 70 ounces of water daily.
Also I know some people use enemas for what you're experiencing. I just choose the SWF. Either way probably works.

3-4 drops of fennel essential oil will help get rid of the bloating. Mint oil should also work. Hope you feel better soon.:)

Omigod! I am so glad you posted this Tropigal!
I too was doing a three month colon and parasite cleanse. It was Dr. Natura's Colonix Cleanse. During month 2 and 3 I experienced insane bloating, looking four or five months pregnant. I was so uncomfortable. I went to a colon therapist and did four colonics sessions. I released a lot and much of the uncomfortableness was relieved, but the bloat didn't go away entirely, but it did improve. But when I wasn't doing the colonics it came back.
Anyway, I finished the cleanse two weeks ago and I am still bloated! I don't know what to do! I am rather constipated and will try the salt water flush too. Today I decided that since I was feeling so full lately, my body didn't feel like eating, so I made the master cleanse drink and have been drinking that and tea today.
Please let us know how your salt water flush goes and what helps you get rid of the bloating. I'll let you know when something seems to help me too. It's so frustrating isn't it.

I am just doing a 10 day program...i couldn't imagine 3 months!!
I am doing the SW flush in the AM(wed) will post how it goes.(researched a bit on line)
i eased up on the powder yesterday & today was a lot better comfort wise but i am still huge in the tummy! I too think i might do the master cleanse for a day...or 2. i haven't given that a shot before....kinda makes me light headed from just a glass...???
good luck rawlovebaby...DO post how it goes for you!
lots and lots of water and more water
make some apple juice (if you dont have a juicer, blend them in vitamix or blender and strain thru nut milk bag)
Ive tried the swf more than once but it bloated me and I felt like I was retaining water. Ive heard many say it works for them though.
If all else fails, do an enema (or two). Its instant relief!!
The master cleanse is great for lightening up quick and flattening the tummy even if you do it for only a couple of days. Just watch what you eat when you finish it. Start with juicy fruits.
Hope you feel better soon!!

Hii I wanted to do a 10 day cleanse but I stopped at day 3. I couldn't take the bloating anymore, I felt so uncomfortable. I think I tried Perfect Cleanse or something..ugh it's the fiber..it expands (holds on to the water) in your colon and until it's gone it will make you bloated. Just drink a great amount of water :)

ok, so i am on day 8 of 10 on the cleanse & last night i eased up on the powder after skipping it the night before & this morning I was much less bloated but still puffy in the tummy so i did the SW flush.
worked RIGHT away. although i could only drink a bit more than 1/2 of the 32 ounces. made me very nauseous. I know this is a common problem but once again i don't know about the "one size fits all" for these kinds of things.
I am petite with a small frame(bone structure). After about 20 oz. it was toally enough for me.
i have had 4 bathroom visits in about an hour & feel like tere is a lot more to come.
the nausea went away after an hour & i am sipping on some MC lemonaide right now that seems to be rather soothing for the situation.
i have never done a full MC before, juice "fasting" for 5 days was the longest i went without food!
I sometimes add fresh cut ginger root to my master cleanse lemonade when my tummy isnt feeling good. It helps tremendously.

Tropigal-Did the swf help? Was it painful when it made you go? I've done the enema route and I feel nauseous for a little bit afterwards but it does help me move. I know it's kindof personal but thanks for posting because it helps others more than you know :D Did it help flatten your tummy? Did you feel good afterward, like you'd do it again if you needed to?

guys i HAVE to post an update because... i'm SO HAPPY!!
I have been miserable during the cleanse too... and went off it. So i got my courage back the other day and started it again- oh GOSH this was terrible!! i felt like i had a gas war going on in my stomach.. horrible horrible..
Then i could not eat because of how bloated i felt, so i decided to give my stomach a rest from the food for one day.. (i'm not sure if that's what helped or the water yet) And i started to drink big amounts of water- i mean, 2 big glasses at a time.. it works like MAGIC!! i thought was was drinking enough and couldn't make myself drink more but.. i felt so bad that i drank these 2 glasses at a time and... WOW the next day i felt incredible!
I'm not sure if it was the 1 day with minimal amounts of food or all the water- i still drink a lot. Like this morning i was in a hurry, ran to work , had my huge glass of water..and ran to the bathroom in 5 minues.. i feel so great lol just sharing ;)

I haven't been on here in so long! Tropigal, has your bloating gone away? And Riiiya, was it actually Dr. Natura's Colonix cleanse you were on that caused your bloating? Both me and my husband have bloating left over from this cleanse. It has been over a month since we stopped the cleanse and it still hasn't gone away. I will never do a psyllium based cleanse again. It just doesn't seem to agree with me. It causes more problems. I have a little round bloated belly now, and I've always had a flat belly.

you know, for the last year that i've been raw..i've been bloated 80% of the time! it was VERY annoying.. and i never count glasses of water. But these last several days i wake up with 2 big glasses, have 2 big ones at work, come back home try to have two (i drink them all together right away.. this way they MOVE everything in your body) and have 2-3 more in the evening..hmm so i guess i'm trying to have around 9-10 a day these several days AND ALL THIS BLOATING JUST WENT AWAY! i'm super truper happy, i guess you can understand if bloating has been a problem for you too!
