Sun Fire Salt is just the salt that I use in my dishes because that is what I have on hand at the present moment. It is other than nessesary for the recipe.
Celtic Sea Salt and Himalayan Pink Rock Salt will be perfect!

Well, I should've said I had MOST of the ingredients. I didn't have onion powder or a shallot. I just put some fresh onion in.
This is GREAT! I have the remaining bit right next to me but I ate most of it last night.
Thanks for sharing the recipe! Will keep it in my recipe folder.

this was really really good!!!!!! the first time I made it I thought the raw garlic "bite" was a little strong (I used two big cloves) but the next day it had diminished quite a bit.
today I made it again and left out the garlic..but the shallots also give it a bit of a "bite." very good.
this is a big recipe, it makes 5-6 cups.
THANK-YOU!!!

Loved this soup! I left out the carrots, then topped my serving with chopped jalapenos.
