I have Alissa's book and I was reading the sidenote about strawberries "contain ellagic acid which can reduce and often neutralize the
damaging effects of the carinogen PAH found in cigarette smoke".
My boyfriend wanted to know if strawberries can also help someone to quit smoking? He said if they do he is eating a ton os strawberries :D

I'm not sure a "ton" of strawberries is a good thing but if it were me, I'd figure it's probably one of the safest ways one could go about it. Add them to smoozies (green smoothies) and get the benefits of the fruit AND the greens.

If worse comes to worse? He could always light up a strawberry! LOL!
ah yes, berry doobies, back in the day...
KIDDING!
Seriously. It may help him...is he open to eating raw? Green smoothies have been known to help folks with addictions of all kinds...

Lucy you are to funny!! Berry doobies.
Well he is a meat eater. I have been trying to convince him for awhile now to go raw but he said he likes his meat! He will eat some things I make. Like last night I made Alissa's strawberry pie and he loved it. Although the crust was way to thick for our taste (but still good) and I will halve the crust next time. I bought alot of strawberries so will see if I can get him to drink a green smoothie with them in it. I had a green smoothie this morning and I put strawberries in it and it was really good! I am drinking the smoothies to hopefully help me kick my wine habit!
