I wonder if any of you know if my olives are still good. I bought some Living Tree raw black olives and opened them about 6 or 8 months ago. They have been refrigerated. They smell and look ok. Does anyone know if they are still ok to eat?

I had the same question and never got an answer, but I have raw black olives in the fridge since over a year and they still seem fine.

Yes, they are still good - they are brined cured.

I'm not so sure about that. The olive bar at my local store has a sign explaining how long they are good for. I think it says a week without the brine and something like 3 or 4 weeks in brine.

Thanks for your responses. Mine are from the Living Tree. They are raw cured in sea salt and then sundried and rolled in extra virgin olive oil and spices. They are not sitting in a liquid of any kind. They are slightly oily but dry.

If they dried then they might keep for longer.
