Paul Newman weeks to live

Though Newman is a vegetarian, he is also a chain smoker. He has terminal lung cancer. :(

My gosh. I know we all DIE one day, but sad we have to help speed up the process. Perhaps he will see a miracle in his life still. As long as their is breath there is still hope is my thinking.

Wouldn't it be nice if he went to a health retreat center, brought along many who couldn't afford it in that same condition and saw victories with support for each other.

Such a beautiful man, person and humanitarian. He just always struck me as being Real. Wow, I knew he was ill with cancer, but had no idea he was a chain smoker. My grand pop died of lung cancer (cigar smoker) and it is not good way to go - no cancer is I would imagine. I do hope he does experience a miracle, but if it is his time to transition I wish his spirit much peace.

Agreed. Both about how wonderful he is and how devastating lung cancer can be. My grandfather also died of it. Even though he didn't smoke for 40 years prior to his death, he got emphysema in his 40's from smoking too much. And the emphysema definitely played a role on his illness.

He sponsers a camp over here so that terminally ill kids get a vacation. I expect that he does it elsewhere as well.
