Just thought I would drop in and say hi. Haven't been here for awhile. Tomorrow is the day that I start my raw foods journey. I have a few things but have to go to the store and get some more produce and raw nuts. Wish me luck. I have made a commitment to see it thru this time no matter how badly it makes me feel at first. I am not looking forward to detox (ugh). I am really excited about talking with people that are actually doing this and succeeding. Judy

:) :D Well it has gone pretty well today. I had a smoothy for dinner. Besides my fruit I also put in a handful of Mustard Greens. I know if i don't add them to my drinks i won't get them. I do enjoy a great salad but haven't found a tasty raw dressing:confused: . My hubby thinks i have lost my mind. So i have to prove him wrong. I'm hoping that maybe i will start feeling better, of course it will take a few days probably. Thought i would give an update. Judy

Today wasn't very good. I have all kinds of energy but have had a heck of a time with my allergies. It was coming out my nose and my eyes were streaming, and my ears were affected too. I guess i knew i was in for a difficult couple of weeks. It is detoxing all of the crud i have been eating lately. I know that with all my ailments, this is the only way i am ever going to heal myself, but I wish that it wasn't this difficult. Well sorry to be a downer, hopefully tomorrow will be better. Judy

Hang in ther Born2run. Your allergies sound like a detox, green smoothies seem to help me w any detox symptom-so have another one!
You can do it, hang in there and see it through!

Born - use a milder green - baby organic spinach for one. Make them tasty so you'll drink them. I've been adding cinnamon lately to mine - love it.
Hang in there. Don't think how badly you feel, instead, stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself how good you feel and how glad you are to be alive and how well you look. Before you know it? You'll be feeling on top of the world!!!

Today has been alot better. I still had a little congestion but not anything like yesterday. Today has been mostly raw day. I am still trying to get 100%. Today was probably at least 85%. I'm hoping that by September I can kick the 15% and be 100%. I actually jogged the whole length of our Mall in Silverdale when I had to find somebody. And wasn't that much out of breath. So something positive is happening to me anyway. Thankyou for the advice I will try Baby Spinach in my smoothy. I know I have some because i picked it up from the store. Had some delicious raw corn on the cob tonight. I just love corn on the cob. I wonder how long it is going to take me to drop some weight. Judy

My tasty raw dressing:
2 Tbsp raw tahini
1 TBsp raw honey
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
Something like that. It is to die for.

Good luck on your journey.
I'm also about day 6 and I'm loving this RAWNESS journey that I'm on. I still have to experience with some of Alissa's recipes.
At the moment, I'm just keeping it really simple and then moving up to the more extravagant recipes.
