I tweeked a recipe for General Tso's Chicken- the sauce that is.. My hubby declared it a winner- he loves mushrooms and said it was the best mushroom dish he has ever eaten.. I only like mushrooms on pizza so it was just so so for me- I loved the sauce part though..
Chop 3 Portabella mushrooms into medium to large bite size chunks, dehydrate completely. Reconstitute in warm water. Smother in sauce.Put back in dehydrator until warm (this can only happen in the excalibur because you can take out some trays and put a shallow dish in with the mushrooms in it. ) or if you have a warm day put into a ziplock smoosh into a thin layer- put on a tray and set on top of your car in the sun. I also add 2 chopped up green onions to the bag.
Sauce
1 tbsp Ginger root
3 cloves Garlic
2.5 tbsps Nama Shoyu or braggs aminos
1.5 tbsps apple cider vinegar vinegar
1 tbsp agave nectar
2.5 tbsp Olive Oil
¼ cup sun dried tomatoes reconstituted
2 tbsp hot pepper flakes according to taste
juice of 2 oranges
dash of sea salt
Blend up the above in blender- will be like a paste
