As most know by now I have not gone 100% raw my reasoning being I am pregnant (7 months now) anyway here's my questions: Since going more raw than not, I noticed that when I eat cooked I get indigestion and headaches? Is that normal? I also seem to be allergic to wheat? Is buckwheat, wheat? It seems whan I eat wheat my asthma flairs up. I get a tight chest and wheeze. I also NEED to find a way to get off the prednisone and breathe without it! My legs are so swollen too, will eating 100% raw help with my swelling? It is not the normal pregnancy swelling as I have had it for months. I am seriously thinking about just going 100%. It seems I feel great until I eat something cooked? When I don't eat cooked though seems I never stop eating? LOL So far today and it is not even 2pm...I have had:

2 small bananas
1 1/2 apples with almond butter
Watermelon
1 necterine
some pumkin seeds
some walnuts

I am eating ALOT!!

I am making the stuffed mushrooms and onion bread and the red bell pepper crackers can't wait for them to be done!!

[B] It does that to me as well, and I have heard several person have experienced the same thing. It clearly is a contriindication from eating cooked.[\B]

I also seem to be allergic to wheat? Is buckwheat, wheat? It seems whan I eat wheat my asthma flairs up. I get a tight chest and wheeze. I also NEED to find a way to get off the prednisone and breathe without it!

[B]Wheat is up there as an allergent - stay away from it especially if you have asthma - You do not want an attack. Currently I am staying at a raw home engaed in a fast and they use oat groats for everything and there appears none of those same effects. Soak them and then work it as in any other recipe.[\B]

My legs are so swollen too, will eating 100% raw help with my swelling?

[B]My greatest testimony is that after 3 days, I know longer had concrete blocks, but an ankle and a foot which was quite a change for me. I have had others whom I have worked with to say the same thing. [\B]

It is not the normal pregnancy swelling as I have had it for months. I am seriously thinking about just going 100%.

[B]I pray and hope that you do - you will get your nutirents and you will feel so much better. Serena Anderson - find her on the Above Rubies site, is 100% and did it pregnant.[\B]

It seems I feel great until I eat something cooked? [B]YESSSSS and you have a question?[\B]

When I don't eat cooked though seems I never stop eating? LOL So far today and it is not even 2pm...I have had:And that Girl friend is alright - your body will tell you when far nicley in raw that it has had enough

Is buckwheat, wheat? No, it's not.

It seems whan I eat wheat my asthma flairs up. I get a tight chest and wheeze. I also NEED to find a way to get off the prednisone and breathe without it!

Eliminate what's causing the problem ~ wheat and dairy (if you're still doing dairy.)

My legs are so swollen too, will eating 100% raw help with my swelling?

Could be. Hard to tell w/out knowing what you are eating. As you probably know, salt will retain water. Are you eating salty foods? Are you drinking enough water ~ enough for you?

When I don't eat cooked though seems I never stop eating? Maybe your body is trying to get nutrients it's been lacking. IF you go 100%, your body will balance out. It's overjoyed with what you are giving it...like a child in a candy store.

That's really not much when you think of how many people eat ~ breakfast, waffles, eggs, bacon, coffee, oj. Then some junk for break ~ donuts, soda; then lunch ~ Sandwich, chips, more coffee or soda; afternoon break ~ more junk ~ chips or candy; dinner ~ Big Mac, fries, soda, etc.

I am making the stuffed mushrooms and onion bread and the red bell pepper crackers can't wait for them to be done!!

Enjoy them and enjoy the process. You're doing well.

So excited for you -- just reading your note above, I am excited for you and baby -- yes, both are screaming for good (raw) food. Enjoy! And don't worry about eating too much -- use the age old excuse -- you're feeding two!

Congradulations on baby and 100% raw! Both are a blessing!

I am in the process of increasing the amount of raw foods I eat and decreasing the cooked foods. I have noticed that if I eat raw foods all day and then have a cooked dinner, I get wicked heartburn later in the evening.

Previous to this, the only time I can remember suffering from heartburn was when I was pregnant with my first child - I gave birth to a son who was blessed with a full head of hair and everyone said that was the reason I had so much heartburn. This may be an old wives' tale, but it was sure true for me. I found it amusing that when I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn't have heartburn once and she was born bald as a cue ball! LOL

So I would say your heartburn is due either to the cooked food or you are carrying a baby with a hairy head [or maybe both!].

Best of luck ... and I will admit to being a little envious. I would love to have another baby!
