My son is playing football he is nine. He likes raw food as long as you do not say raw food. He likes to eat simply, but now he is craving meat. Orange chicken to be exact. What can I give him to stop the craving or to statisfy the craving?

Nuts are essentially plant based meat and have many of the same properties (lots of protein and fat). Try making some recipes rich in nuts, I eat about 4000-4500 calories a day and about 3000 of those come from walnuts which are very high in protein and healthy fats.

I've read (and experienced) that when someone craves protein, they are really craving fat.

Try making some walnut burger patties in whatever shape he likes, with orange zest, orange bell pepper, onion or scallion, maybe ginger/garlic etc and dehydrate them until they are crispy. You can make some orange sauce (im thinking red bell pepper and fresh orange juice in blender then drizzle in olive oil until it is dressinglike) to dip them in, or pour it over the top. Good luck=)>
