I like that better than beef recipe in alissa's book.....but? what do you do with it? do you make a meat loaf out of it? or burgers? has anyone done this?

i would love to know what you have done with it.... sounds like it would make
good burgers. thanx

I really like this recipe and like it best wrapped in romaine leaves.

The ingredients of that recipe dissapointed me, I was expecting a nut based recipe for it to have the calories and protein of beef, but it's almost just vegetables. I haven't done it yet and may not try it, I eat too much to allow myself to make low calorie recipes.

raweater.... good golly i wish i had your problem! LOL ! i need to lose alot of weight...and thats why i am going back to raw !
what a pleasure it would be to actually WANT to gain weight !

what i like about raw...and that better than beef recipe ...is that if its more veg than nuts.... i can eat more WITHOUT gaining weight.

wish i could consume unlimited nuts without worry. but i have weight to lose.
pity. i could so enjoy heavy nut based recipes LOL.
your SO lucky.

Raw nuts also help to loose weight, but it's absolutely critical that they be raw (each time I tried roasted nuts, my body fat would skyrocket, and then fall right back down when I had only raw nuts). Depriving yourself of fat can actually cause your body to start sotring fat as emergency reserves, and many fats cause you to loose weight. It is not true that it's calories, carbs, or fat that causes weight gain (I had tried to gain weight for 2 years on raw trying to stuff myself with nuts, the more I ate, the more weight I lost), the cause of weight gain is eating food that doesn't have it's natural nutrition content (cooked/processed food) because without the nutrition you have to eat a lot more calories before you feel full. With raw food you get full with much less calories.

The only way I found to gain weight on raw is by weight lifting, nothing I ever tried before ever worked, but now that I started weight lifting again I've gained over 20 lbs.
