I am new to hemp seeds. I did a search on here and couldn't find anything within the last 80 posts or so about soaking hemp seeds. How long do you all soak them for?

That's alot of searching .Maybe you didn't find anything cause HEMP SEEDS do NOT require any soaking at all .Just use them as is , blend in a smoothie , add to crackers , toss in your salad or EAT from a SPOON .. They are so yummy .

For those that do soak the hemp seeds.....do you rinse? How many times? The water just keeps being milky colored...

Hi Wendi -
thanks for the response. I find it is about 50/50 regarding opinions on whether to soak or not. Because it isn't definitive, I err on the side of caution....

Here's some information on soaking hemp seeds in preparation for sprouting:

I think you'd have to use unhulled hemp seeds for this, though (the seeds in the photograph are unhulled). If your hemp seeds are hulled, I don't think they need to be soaked. Maybe your opinions were about 50/50 because some were about hulled and others were about unhulled seeds?
