Which superfoods is everyone using.
I have been reading about many, but I'm confused as to which one/ones I should be including into my diet daily.
Here are a few I have read about so far:
Spurlina
Acai
Maca
E3live
Lucama
and there are others, but I can't think of them right now.
I know Alissa has a green ? on her site, I may try that, shipping is expensive to Canada and my book has already been shipped out.
Any information you can share would be great.
Thanks!

I don't think there is anything in Alissa's book that says you should include superfoods in your daily diet as part of the 30 day challenge. Somebody with more knowledge of Alissa's teachings should probably advise you on that.
However, my answer to your question would be add cacao, goji berries, and hemp seeds to your list of superfoods. Alissa has all of them in her store.
If I had to chose one superfood it would be Alissa's Green Powder. I've been doing some comparing and for the money it seems the best. :)

Hi Moretta,
The superest (hmm seems I made up a new word..) foods I believe in the raw food lifestyle you will find in your grocery store. Not in a package or powder.
Now don't get me wrong I like Maca and Acai (try it frozen in smoothies) but each person sees different results or none at all.
So if you are just starting I would stick with the superest foods and than for the others try one at a time so you know which ones you like and make the differences they claim and which ones are not worth your hard earned money.

First of all, hurray to Rawstrawberry for coming up with "superest!"
I like to include wheatgrass powder, maca, and spirulina in my green smoothies.

sometimes you can find bulk green powders in health food stores. Almost never spirulina (dang it!) but often wheatgrass juice (dried to a powder) or a seaweed or algae powder. I use dried kelp, bluegreen algae and wheatgrass juice in small amounts in some of my smoothies, but since I am broke I haven't bothered to try acai, gojiberry, mangosteen and all those other exotics.

i love super foods, they make this diet fun!
cacao, spirulina, e3live, bee pollen and goji
people say you don't need them, well why not?
if you look at the nutritional content of just one tablespoon of any of these, they will severly shame any salad.
i think in a depleted agriculture, malnurished society (such as north america) super foods are a fun, delicious and fast way to raise your mineral content and get a whole ton of other nutrients too.
I have the so-called "superfoods" here and there, specifically VitaMineral Green (not too super impressed, wouldn't have bought it if I could go back), maca, cacao (I have these for the taste because I feel like I'm having a malt milkshake).
I personally don't feel as supercharged after having those as I do with a green smoothie with only real whole foods. I feel shaky if I have more than just a little cacao at a time. The mineral content is high per oz., but these are not items we would ever have in large quantities as we would greens and other whole foods.
They're trendy and well marketed, but I think they're entirely unnecessary.

Superfoods are fine for those with too much money, or for those who have absolutely no access to organically grown produce. For my money, I prefer to get the latter. If you have lots of leafy greens added to an abundance of fresh fruit every day, you don't NEED anything else. The only exception in my opinion would be when you are really depleted from years of being on the SAD; but even then it would probably be more beneficial to eat plain raw for an extended period and then go on a juice fast to detox your system. People have to learn to trust nature. Our bodies are so amazingly able to take fruits and vegetables and use what's there to make what it needs.

I totally agree and your post makes so much sense. I always tend to go the more NATURAL way than anything else.

So true.
