Currently I am on the Master Cleanse. Slowly over time I will switch to juicing then to smoothies (in period of two months). I notice that I lose about 2 lbs a day on the Master cleanse.
Can I just do circuit training 3x a week and yoga 2x a week? I feel that the weightloss from the cleanse will continue with the juicing and fasting that it is unnecessary to do cardio right now.
I don't want to do cardio until I start to eat solids. You think my body can still be in shape and be toned from just yoga and circuit training if done in 3 months?

I've done one successful MC, last year-and at the time I was taking aYoga class 1 day a week, and walking every day-I continued that during my cleanse, I think it you feel okay-you can, but listen to your body.
I agree with onebite@atime (great screen name by the way :) )
Listen to your body. I've successfully done a 14 day water fast, but I don't think I exercised as much as you two. I did exercise though by mainly walking miles almost everyday. There were days I felt fatigued (maybe about 2-3 days) and so I rested every 1/2 mile or so.
From fasting reading material, I've read that exercise is usually cautioned, since your body can utilize the energy to get cleanse your body instead of for exercise. While exercising, instead of using the cals. from the MC concoction for cleansing, your body would be using it to fuel your exercising which is why plenty of rest is usually recommended instead. But then again, a lot of things are "recommended." ;)
So for this cleanse, if you want to exercise and your body is ok with it, go for it. Observe the results you get after the cleanse. If it's not quite what you expected, you can tinker with the cleanse the next time you do it. Don't forget. We've had years of SAD eatting, so one cleanse might not cut it.
Goodluck! :D

I follow what my body says is okay on that day. I take two - three yoga classes per week... fasting or not. I just make sure that I don't stand up and do triangle poses when I'm feeling a little dizzy is all. Instead I choose to stay seated on my mat and do some additional stretches. It's a great way to get in some stretches that my instructor didn't choose to add to our class that day :D
I also worked out cardio and weights a little at the gym when I've done fasts. Again... I listened to my body. When it was okay with it, I did it... BUT... ya you knew there would be a but... if I had something I needed to do that day I didn't work out cause often after working out, I couldn't do much of anything else all day.
Personally, now... today. I prefer to save my energy for healing rather than wasting it on working out. (but yoga is an essential thing for me... like meditation, pumping my blood through my veins and breathing)

Ditto the listen to your body. I usually am able to work out harder and much more intensly when i'm fasting, but there are times when my body needs rest and after a scary incedent a month or so ago I learned that if my body says take it easy right now IT REALLY MEANS IT!! lol

i think this depends on what your definition of "in shape" is. i find that i need to add some kind of weight lifting to my routine to meet my personal definition.
i don't lift weights while cleansing, however. i stick to yoga and jogging. even while water fasting for a two week period, i notice i have the energy to jog on some days.

SekhemNefer, what day of the MC are you? Today was Day 18 for me. I am no longer losing weight as I did at first. But I'm also not working out as you are.
I hope that you are doing well.

Well, I am restarting the cleanse. I did it for 4 days straight then juiced an apple and pear and mixed with lots of water and had it all day on Wednesday. Then I did I lost 8 lbs then.
I start back up today. I haven't incorporated exercising yet and I don't feel weak at all. But I want to do the cleanse for a month. But don't want to incorporate heavy exercising, due the natural weightloss of the MC.
I was hoping that yoga and circuit training would be enough to make my body become slender (I am overweight) without the cardio.
Or maybe you think I can get by with just doing circuit training only until I get off the cleanse. Like Upper body 3x a week and legs 2x.

using fasting/feasting or cleansing to kick start weight loss is great... but honestly it's life and how you choose to live it that is going to make the difference.
any weight you release will come back if you aren't active and eating healthy (raw) when you finish it.

That is obvious. I was just wondering can I prevent being flabby while losing the weight on the Master Cleanse. I don't want to look like I just had a Gastric Bypass by losing weight too quickly. I want to tone my body along the way.
I wanted to know what is doing too much or too little on something like this.

Well it's not obvious to everyone, hence why I mentioned it. :)
Fasting for 30 days isn't going to release that much weight that you'd get flabby anyway... so no worries there. BUT if you want to have your skin naturally retract... juice feast or add MSM daily.
You asked what doing too much or too little is... there is no answer for that. Everyone is different, and so you need to do lots of research, make an educated decision on what you want to do and then remain open to what your body is telling you while you do it.
There isn't any 'quick and easy' answer... sorry.

Thanks for the help. I have MSM tablets which I bought for hair growth.
