OHH, I have been on this path before and this time it is much easier=)

I am 29...gonna be 30 in November (!!!), been vegetarian/vegan for a long, long time but I am overweight and experiencing some health issues. Wasn't acne supposed to leave in my teens? How did I get FAT without meat and cheese?? Go figure. I also have PCOS which has contributed to weight gain and periods that are more like torture than a natural cycle. I also have some sleeping problems, concentration issues and a general desire to live a longer, healthier life!

My sister and I are staying raw for 7 days. So far I am on day 3 and I am blogging about it here on Alissa's community. I am amazed at my energy level so far!

I have Alissa's book but my sis is borrowing it right now. We have made a few recipes out of it and really dig the flax crackers!

Green smoothies! They'll help with cravings, weight elimination, energy, you name it!

Also, I was Vegetarian for 28 years, then Vegan for 3 before going raw. I was fat too.

A lot of the "fast food" Vegetarian stuff (frozen or packaged) has tons of sodium in it - very fattening. Just because I didn't eat meat or dairy, I obviously was not eating healthy until now...
