Are there any restrictions on combining the two?

Do you all eat a variety of greens and fruits? Or are there any we should be avoiding that are not to good for us?

I couldn't imagine avoiding any fruits and greens as they all have a goodness to them, I hope.

Sorry, for all these questions. I am such a beginner to this and trying to learn as I go along, and while waiting for Alissa's lovely book.

Thanks, again.

In smoothies -- not so much. The food combining rules get thrown out. Greens that are leafy go with anything. And there are other details for the other veggies. There is a really good chart in Alissa's book.

I find that I intuitively follow most of the rules:

--For example, watermelon is best eaten alone. I do not have any desire to eat watermelon with, say, cucumbers or apples or anything else. It is so good by itself.
--Avocados make a wonderful addition for me to salads and many different things. And they combine well according to the chart.

The chart will help -- but you may find that you already have it memorized in your taste buds. I wouldn't worry too much since you will have it so soon. You're going to love Alissa's book!
