I just saw this on YouTube. It is really an eye-opener for people who believe that the big pharma companies have us in their best interest:

I would have appreciated it a lot more if it didn't end with an add for a for-prophet company that sells, among other things, meat and vitimins and ovens.

Yea, I know. That is bad that he sells meat products. He is very good on educating the public about all the bad foods people buy in stores, chemicals etc. though. But the main message was pretty overwhelming, don't you think?
BTW a "prophet" is one who prophesies. "Profit" is what is gained over expenses etc.

Jenna, glad you liked it.
When I used to live in California I was talking to some old timers. They were saying that years ago when, I think it was the doctors went on strike, the mortality rate dropped drastically in Los Angeles. When they went back to work the mortality rate picked right back up again.
It is not that docs don't have their place. If I broke my arm I'd surely go to a doc and get it fixed.
MrGreenJeans,
That's really interesting re: the mortality rate.
Funny, I had seen that video before and had forgotten about the thing at the end. I've already conditioned myself to question things and to ignore advertisements for the most part.
Anyways, thanks for posting it.
I too avoid doctors and ALL medications... but I was very glad to get blood transfusions and an IM rod (sort of like a metal femur) when I had a bad broken leg, etc. I am forever grateful to the doctors that saved my life. That doesn't mean I'll be taking pain meds or ADD meds or antibiotics... or anything like that.

Ahahahahaha. Yes, I do agree it was a powerful message, and, I do know the difference between a profit and a prophet. ROFL, too funny. I'm doing well to be typing at all, what with one hand in a cast. :-D
