Has anyone ever used scented geraniums in their green smoothies? I bought an herb that I thought was just called "orange" to put into my green smoothies because I thought it would be a fun way to change it up but when I got it home I realized it was an orange scented geranium and now I have been nervous to try it.

Thanks! :)

the leaves and flowers are edible... but i'd be worried about where they were grown - they're great phytoremediators - they suck up toxins from the soil, especially heavy metals, and concentrate them in their leaves and flowers. SO if you're growing them in your house in pots, eat them up. if you bought a bunch of cuttings at the store... i mean who knows what they grow flowers in, probably not thinking that people are going to eat them. might not eat those myself.

know what i mean?

flowers in smoothies are good though. i like them with melons; it'd probably be good with basil or sorrel or mint. yum.

I am growing them with the rest of my herb garden so I will have to be brave enough to give it a try this week. Thanks so much!! :D
