I just bought a Vitamix 3600 on ebay. It's is wonderful shape but I'm wondering if I'm blending greens for green smoothies long enough. I use the reverse feature back and forth of course for about 10 ten seconds after each new ingredient still....I get some pretty chewy pulp. Is this normal? I don't mind some pulp but this seems a bit much. Even after I shake it up to defoam it. Can anyone verify that this is normal or if I should blend it longer? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

What greens are you using? I use spinach or lettuce in my 3600+ and it becomes completely smooth in moments. I never need to use the reverse feature for smoothies. (Have to say, I don't think the reverse feature is all that. :) When things get stuck, I just stop, stir, and restart.)

I have a 3600 as well and don't experience any pulpy juice. I did, however, have to replace my blade. The new one blends things faster than the old one. Maybe try replacing the blade? I'm like Emma Liza and never use the reverse feature either.
