the kind you buy from the store in the regular
dressing isle....the kind that has MSG and
sugar and dairy, ect. ect ect....

Well...there is one brand that I have
really liked since childhood and I believe
it's called "Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch
Dressing". This is still the ONLY Ranch
dressing I have liked well enough to put
on my salads, and is what is keeping me
from being 100 percent raw vegan, too.

I have tried SO many recpies for Ranch dressing
and nothing so far has come close to my favorite brand.

This is the only thing I can't make to taste like the cooked
variety, no matter what I've tried!! SO frustrating!!:(

Being 100 percent raw VEGAN is my goal... can anyone
provide a winning, raw, ranch dressing recipie to help me
with my goal, Please?

Thank you very much all you ahead of time, I appreciate it!!:D :D

There are ranch recipes on www.goneraw.com.. Though not sure if it's the dressing or what but I'm sure you could put the spices needed into the recipe that calls for sour cream (ranch dip) or the creamier one for dressing. I love ranch too. It was my favorite for anything when SAD: pizza, potatoes, chips, crackers, Cheez-itz, vegs and everything else lol.

what about a mock veganaise recipe with the seasonings of ranch dressing? you could thin it out with a bit of water.. I am a ranch dressing addict too.. but I am doing good with my homemade vinaigrette (balsamic, dijon mustard, garlic and olive oil) but I always put a scoop of guacamole on my salads and that adds some creaminess.

Here is a recipe that got a lot of buzz on this board and others for tasting close to the real deal. It can be found at:

Raw Ranch Dressing

1 1/2 c. raw cashews
1 1/2 c. Cold Water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 TB honey
2-3 TB lemon juice
1-2 clove raw garlic

Blend the above until smooth, then add the following:

1/2 tsp dill
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Onion Powder (can add extra 1/2 tsp)
1 TB Parsley
1/4 tsp white pepper (can double to taste)

Blend on low just until combined.

My husband came up with this one, and it is a close proximity. I personally don't care for the taste of the cashews and think I might like it better using sunflower seeds. But give it a try, it's pretty good.

Blessings,
Heather

I still have to buy the Hidden Valley Ranch for my dad, but I can't complain to much because he eats a salad every night at my house before I give him his cooked food :D . And he tried my "Ritz Crackers" last night and slathered them in butter  . But if you WANT to be/eat raw I think the recipe is a pretty good one.
