Well, leave it to me to jump into a conversation without introducing myself!
(I've already posted a few times.)

I am 41, mother of three teen girls, married 19 years, and an artist. I tried the "raw thing" 2 years ago for weight loss, but ended up giving up because it didn't work. Now I know that this journey starts in a much deeper place than food choices.

So far, 16 lbs of toxic fat have left me--looking forward to double that number. Realistically, there is some 35 year old fat on my body, so it may take awhile to get rid of all of it--but I'll be a few years older anyway. I'll just be healthier!

I have one semester left before I start my LCDC internship--Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor--I'm in college with my oldest daughter!

We Libras don't really get going until mid-life, so it's about time for me!

Welcome, patchouli! We're glad that you're here. Where in Texas do you live? I'm in Houston. And also have 3 teenagers among my 6.

So exciting! I'm in Texas as well (mid-size town which makes raw harder because there aren't any cool stores like Central Market, but there isn't much at the farmer's market either :(

I almost took classes for Chemical Dependency Counseling myself, but decided to get a BA in Psychology instead (still working on it though). Let me know how your internship goes!

What's your raw day usually look like? Congratulations on your transformation!

Pink--
Yesterday I had:

Champagne mango
almonds
dates

big green salad w?pine nuts sunflower seeds
two avocados

Allisa's Grezzo fudge cake w/banana ice cream

Today brings a smoothie--spinach, hemp meal, banana, blueberries, strawberries

Carrot cashew patties with tomatoes--from my garden! with a salad

And who knows what's for dinner?? Plenty to choose from--I learned to keep nuts and fruit around all the time.
