Should I do a 10 day master cleanse BEFORE or AFTER a colonic? I have a colonic scheduled in 2 weeks. Thanks!

i know that my friend who does colonics says she prefers people to come as they normally are... and then fast etc before their second appt... rather than before their first.
is this a one time thing for you or an ongoing one?

She said she recommends two appointments back to back, so I have one on a Tuesday and the second on Wednesday. Is this bad? So I'll do the MC after that? I'm just cleaning up so I can start trying to conceive in September.

i would ask her what she thinks you should do.
although i haven't heard (doesn't make me right though) of back to back colonics. i have heard of having them weekly though.
if it were me and i couldn't ask my colon therapist for advice... i'd do one on day 5 and another on day 10.

You know if you think about this, you are going there to clean your guts. So if you start a process before, it will only get the stuff loosing up more and probably clean better.
I was doing quite of bit of green smoothies, and i was on a detox program too, and during our detox program, we were recommended to get the colonic done to make sure to eliminate the extra toxin.
The first time, i went, we got the result like i have been coming many time before. The dark stuff that people talk about came out for me and the woman told me that it normallly takes many visit before coming to that.
I was taking MSN too which i feel did help to clean more. I read that we need to be careful with MSN, i personnaly don't have problem but you can do your research.
So doing a colonic while you are doing a detox is very good according to several expert.
Best wishes!

ooh, I really like your blog, too. The whole pregnancy planning and birth is so exciting to me, even as an adoptive mommy(DH is infertile). Kind of makes me want to start filling out adoption papers again :-) Your body may be totally different, but for me when I cleanse intensely (juice fasts, water...) it takes me at least an extra month to ovulate again. Sounds like that's not an issue for you since you cycle well despite being very thin and raw.
I can't wait to hear how you like the Graham book. If you want to sell it in the future when you're done, or trade it for my "Green for Life" (which is awesome but I've totally memorized it after 3 reads) plus another book or $, let me know! That is one I really wish the library had.

Clare, thanks for the kind comments, too! I'm new to the world of blogging so I haven't figured out how to put pictures on, or active links either. I do cycle well so far...knock on wood...but that's really good to know. I have Green for Life already and LOVE it! But yes, if Dr Graham's books isn't a keeper I'll definitely pass it along. It's supposedly as thick as Alissa's, so it may be one of those that stays on my shelf.

the MC could be done before and after...is it a way to "loosen" up and get things going....sometimes I also drink certain fruit juice combinations just a few days prior to a colonic because certain fruit combination have a laxative effect or at least soften up any "rocks" lying around in the intestines/colon...
In the beginning I used to just do one colonic periodically but now, when I go, I'll do 2 in a row, the second day always yields some "stuff" that got loosened up from the first day....just depends on you knowing your body and how much you already use it naturally...i have a sluggish digestive system and so now I'm like "bring it on" and prefer to have at least 2, she (my C.I.) won't let me do a 3-day sesion (only for severe cases in her opinion)
Let me know how it works out for you....
