Good morning family,
I have been Raw for 10 days, but on day 7 I weighed myself-BAM!!!! 10llbs. I never thought that I would have ever started this way of life, it amazes me to no end. I have made brownies ( well, at least they are fooling my tongue), and a honey-mustard dressing to die for. BUT, this morning I made a smoothie with dandelion greens, UGH!!! added a mango and 2 bananas, I will eventually get it down then I will have to mix the greens with spinach:). My My family is amazed at my viligence with this. I take it 1 day at a time. I will be back at work next week, and the real challenges will begin. I have such a long way to go!!!!! Thanks for listening. AND< if you read a similar thread elsewhere I posted it in the wrong place.

Congratulations on losing 10lbs that is great.. I bet you feel good.
For some reason I don't like Mangos in my smoothie, it adds a weird taste. I will have to try again. I found that Peaches, Lemon and Strawberries with a storng tasting green like Kale or Dandelion make it taste good.
I use
1 large peach
5 strawberries
1 Whole lemon (Peeled and seeded)
As much green as I want
I normally use two cups of water but in this case if I just make a thicker smoothie I found that I don't taste the greens as much and it looks like a fruite smoothie.

I agree spinach!
Big congrats on such a progressive start jewell!
Work will have it's own challenges to be sure, but it sounds like you have way too much momentum going to have it pose any real obstacle!
Pack your lunches, lots of food, everthing, don't make it a chore, make fun and exciting and a special time (totally possible, I went from hating doing dishes, to LOVING doing dishes, just by deciding that was My time to think, meditate, ponder life, etc).
....and if you don't have time, just do fruit and some of your yummy honey mustard dressing and buy a couple of side salads somewhere! You can do it!
10 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!

my fav green smoothie is:
baby spinach
banana
blueberries.
simple and yummmmmy. if you like it sweet, more blueberries, if you don't... more spinach :)
i haven't acquired a taste for dandelion greens... i've tried but they just aren't my cup of tea... yet.

Green smoothies CAN last up to three days. Mine? Never. I once in a while will have enough for the next day, but that's rare.
And agave will work gr8 as does stevia.

Losing ten pounds is great! Just remember misery loves company. Some of your co-workers may want you back into the lifestyle of SAD (Standard American Diet).
You need to keep in mind WHY you are doing this, WHY it is healthy for you and the consequences of SAD.
