I have a real salad dressing dilemma.

oddly, I DON'T like oils, I like avocado, but I can't stand olive oil. I am using it but I do not want to.

I was wondering if anyone has any recipe's for a salad dressing with entirely raw products? veggie/fruit puree seasoned...or something of that nature..

I'm not using anything but apple cider vinegar with "mother" organic kind which is REALLY strong so I'm wondering too what to dilute it with since I don't use avocados...

This has been one I've been using, you could likely omit the oil or use water since it is such a small amount.

Tomato Basil Dressing

2 Roma Tomatoes
1 Stalk of Fresh basil
1 tsp sea salt (or alternative of your choice
1 oz Apple Cider Vinegar
1 oz Olive Oil

Blend until smooth.

I've made salad dressings using avocado instead of oil. I don't really have a recipe but you could try this (I never really measure anything so this is all approximate):

1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1/2 an avocado (or a whole avocado)
some freshly minced garlic or garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all until smooth.

Obviously, this makes a lot of dressing (I make huge salads). You can certainly cut the recipe in half or a third if you want.

Sunflower Dill Dressing (http://thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com/2008/07/recipe-of-week-sunflower-dill-dressing.html)

500 Island Dressing (http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=53740)

Ranch Dressing (http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=78173http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=78173) (uses a bit of oil, but you could probably omit)

Also, maybe try a different oil if you don't like olive? Sesame, flax, Udo's blend, etc. all taste different.

Jennifer Cornbleet has a recipe for Creamy Cucumber dressing, which can also be Creamy Tomato or Creamy Red Pepper, but I can't find it online.

Why not just use a pate or guac recipe on top of your salads? No need to have "traditional" dressing if you don't enjoy the oil...

Well, I can't do Pate's because I can't eat nuts and seeds just yet, Hoping ill "cure" "fix" my diverticulitis with raw. its very annoying. Im the very few people under 50 who have diverticulitis.

I am affraid of eating too many avocados!, I supposed instead of using an entire avocado per salad (usually 2 a day) I can half it!

I've made the hummus from RAWvolution and thinned it down with some water and used it as salad dressing. I have been trying to cut out nuts but I love creamy dressings and I was thinking about experimenting with zucchini as a creamy "base".

I also love tahini dressing but i try not to use it as much anymore

Tahini, garlic, ginger, water, sea salt.
Sometimes I add scallion or seasonings.

Good luck.

We make a guacamole and thin it out some with water. You can also add red bell, cilantro or cucumbers to change the flavor. Or if you like lemony stuff, put a lot of lemon juice in it. It's great. Also if you add cucs or something you won't eat an entire avocado on one salad.

Oh I've also used a zuchini hummus as dressing.
