Are there any published articles on the benefits of raw? Anything by scientists or doctors that's good an accessible? A friend of mine really wants to go raw, but doesn't want information 'from someone trying to sell their book.' =P They said they read lots of stuff by doctors saying NOT to do it, but hasn't seen anything about doing it.

Well, I'm not sure about a scientist or a doctor. I don't know if you're a believer or not, but in the Bible, in Gen 1:29, God gave us an eating plan that would keep us healthy and young for a long, long time. And then, if you look in the beginning of Daniel, Daniel asked that he and his 3 friends be fed nothing but vegetables and water for a week - and they looked better than the king's men who were eating the rich foods and delicacies of the king. So there are two examples, Biblically speaking.

I once read something from a nutritionist who advised people not to go raw because 'it will only make you crave pizza'. I laughed, because when I went raw, I had NO DESIRE to even eat pizza!

Well, would testimony from people who have gone raw - but haven't written a book about it - be enough to convince your friend? If so, I would suggest compiling testimonies from people who have been doing raw and can testify to how much better they feel and look going raw.
