Hello. I am very new to this board and will be starting my 30 days challenge on Friday. I am already eating raw for my first two meals of the day and then a little cooked food in the evening when I eat with my boys.
I suffer from Fibromyalgia and Candida and that is what has led me here. The muscle pain and itching has really just become the bain of my existence and I don't want to live like this anymore! And I won't!
Could someone who has these issues, tell me if/how raw has change your situation? I would love to hear some of these stories. I see these amazing before/after pictures having to deal with weight loss and I would love to hear of some similar experiences having to do with other health related stories.

Thank you,
Kathleen in San Diego:D

I have Fibromyalgia but now most of the time it doesn't bother me. I just have to be careful not to overdo. And for me that could mean doing very little. If I push myself too hard, I might spend 2 weeks recoving.

When my thyroid was out of whack, my Fibromyalgia was BAD! What got my thyroid back in range was cutting out the goitrogens. For me that was mainly soy. I do eat some things like cabbage still, but in limited amounts.

I had fibro, CFS, and candida. Cured them all with raw!!! :)

The fibro was pretty bad, some days I couldn't raise my arms. It's been so long since I've been in pain that I forget until someone asks about it. The pain was gone after about 1-2 months 100% raw. I have slipped and had cooked over the years and the pain never comes back, but I do puff up and get stiff. That's enough to scare me and my slips have been brief!

My Chronic Fatigue also disappeared.

My candida took longer to overcome, it took a while and the times I have slipped, I start itching almost immediately, my throat gets sore, and my face breaks out (all candida related, I believe). It's controllable with eating raw though and I FELL WONDERFUL! Keep a journal of how you are feeling b/c in a month or two, you will have to go back to read it to remind yourself how bad it was b/c you will forget! I'm glad you found Raw, get ready to heal!!!! :)

I had fibromyalgia. I also had some other issues and was diagnosed by a neurologist. I hurt all over and was exhausted. I am all raw and the fibro is pretty much gone! I have found that for me, not eating grains in any form, even raw, helps me. Best wishes!

I have FM, & no doubt candida & thyroid issues, too, (all the symptoms, just refuse to go get disgnosed & have one more label to contend with...)
Raw is, slowly but surely, healing everything...
...I started transitioning back to raw June 19th, went 100% July 1st for the challenge, but stumbled a few times, have been 100% again sinse August 1st, & am already feeling soooo much better, much less stiffness & pain, most days (now a lot of it seens dependant on sleep) & ALL IBS symptoms have ceased (IBS often, but not always, comes with FM), still have some itching, but not near as much, most days...& I'm down 45 now from my highest weight, & 13 just in the last week! (oops, sorry, ya didn't want more weight-loss testimonies! Just couldn't resist! Lol!)

So all in all, just hang in there, it gets better every day....even when detox makes it seem like it gets worse!
