Just wanted to share, Tom's of Maine has finally come out with a toothpaste that is SLS- and Fluoride-Free! The packaging says it's new. I saw currant flavor. I love currants but can't imagine brushing my teeth with them. And wintermint flavor, which I got. It says that there is a natural foaming agent derived from licorice root.
It's called "natural sensive care"...sls-free antiplaque for sensitive teeth.

I figured there would be some areas that get it sooner than others. The box says new, but it's basically new to my store. I used it this morning for the first time and I have to admit that it did not taste great. It's a matter of preference. It was waaaay too sweet! It felt like I was brushing my teeth with honey. After brushing they felt okay, but I wasn't too impressed. I got the wintermint and there was no mintiness to it, only sweetness. I'm not sure I'll be able to continue using it, which is sad because I've been looking for SLS-free toothpaste forever. And I'm over the baking soda thing. I haven't tried peroxide though.
Oh well. I'm sure some might love it. I'll give it another try later.

I usually use the KISS MY FACE brand. They don't have SLS and they have several different flavors, etc. and they aren't quite as shocking as Tom's when it comes to flavor.
I am now looking into buying some toothsoap but went back to KISS MY FACE since the powder I was using had SLS in it.
I had stopped using Tom's because of the SLS and they posted on their website that there wasn't anything wrong with SLS. I also think they sold out to some larger company I didn't want to support. (I could be confusing them with one of the many other products that have done that)

Uncle Harrys in the jar blows them all out of the water. It's like going to the dentist every day.

I use teeth savior tooth soap from whole foods. It gives that fresh from the dentist clean. It remineralizes your teeth. My senstivity is not an issue anymore. It has also whitened my teeth. My sister made a comment on how bright my smile is so I told her what I use. Now my whole family is using it ( they usually think everything I do is a bit out there, so it's exciting to me that they are starting to take notice I might be on the right track. Even if it is just oral hygeine)
