Beckx or anyone who can answer: My Champion isn't great with juicing greens....so I'm wondering what the process is for juicing greens with a blender and then straining. I have great paint strainer bags from Lowes...and a decent blender {not Vitamix though}. I am wondering if it is easier to do this way than using my Champ. Do you just blend greens with water and strain? Is that it really????? Thanks! Deb

Yep, just blend any fruit or veg with water & then strain. It's super easy & less cleanup.

OR blend it with the juice you are going to add to it (already made with your champion) and then strain!

i do greens in my champion... i just cut them small and push them through with another item. like for example... a wedge of carrot or apple with the greens. pushes them right through no problem!

celery i cut up real small so the strings don't mess with the champ!

Just a tip I got from one of the hippies (mean that in a good way) at Whole Foods. Instead of using a nut milk bag to strain greens from the Vitamix, cut off a portion of a nylon stocking (from the foot up to the mid calf). Take a large bowl and set it in the bottom of the kitchen sink. Pour the Vitamix contents into the stocking, then squeeze. Rinse out the stocking and hang to dry (extremely easy clean up compared to my nut milk bag). I've gotten a lot more juice doing the stocking method AND it doesn't stain green :p

sorry i didn't see your post until now, deb :) looks like you got A+ advice though. the one thing i'd add is when you're doing greens, start by blending your base (apples, celery, cukes, whatever you're using) and add the greens last, slowly. you end up with a less diluted juice that way; if you did the greens first you'd need more water to blend it smooth, and it's harder to add more things once the greens are blended because they're so fibrous. that's what i've found at least.
