Is it weight lifting or circuit training? I'm wanting to get me some books and Dvd's that will help me with exercises and information about burning fat and building muscle! I want to look very toned and slinder! Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance and have a fruitful day!

It depends on what you want -- for me, I have been running regularly and fast enough that I am sore after my shorter, faster runs. My muscles ARE getting stronger, and I'm looking more toned.
Lots of reps with somewhat light weights will help too.
I'm sure someone else out there will also have some good input (at least I hope!). There are a good amount of people on this forum that would be able to answer your question.

Primal Nature play ~ there's a thread on it here somewhere. Kettlebells, Indian clubs, medicine balls, heavy ropes...

Thanks everyone for your help! I think I'll try some weight lifting with weights and lots of reps. That's about the only thing different that I've not done yet! Plus I do notice how lifting light weights quickly (since they are light) that it get's my heart rate up! Nothing has got my heart rate up that fast before! Except very fast running, but I'm wanting to do something different then that! I think weights will give me faster and even more improvement then just running!
Thanks again and have a great fruitful day!

Lots of reps isn't going to help you very much. It's generally a waste of time. Circuit training is not terribly helpful in my book either.
I'll second what Revvell said.

It is good to mix things up as well. So, one day weights & light aerobic and the other day aerobic & stretching. You should stretch after every work-out to lengthen your muscles and prevent cramping. But, when you do weights daily your muscles can't recover. So, alternating and variety is a good practice. Variety also, causes muscle confusion so, it doesn't get used to the same thing and it will also work different parts of the muscles. There's tons and tons of work-out video's/dvd's. My fav's are anything by the Firm, Kathy Smith, & Karen Voight.

What about this?
One day to weight lifting
the next day do yoga
the next day do some firm exercises (cardio & light weights)
the next day do some cardio
then repeat!
I hope this will work! Thanks again everyone for your help!
Peace!

If you have access to water, swimming is an excellent form of exercise. Constant cardio while total body toning.

If you want to lose weight and build muscle, then do calisthenics.
If you just want to build muscle, do weightlifting.

fewer reps with slightly heavier weights will build more muscle. If you don't want to bulk up too much, don't lift extremely heavy weights. But building lean muscle mass is important for fat loss, as muscle burns a lot of calories by just being there!
