Songs that could be about food but arent :)

Sometimes I'll hear a song and it will make me think of how wonderful it is to be raw...like this one:

"Return To Innocence" by Enigma

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion
Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Don't care what people say
Follow just your own way Follow just your own way
Don't give up, don't give up
To return, to return to innocence.
If you want then laugh
If you must then cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny.

and other songs remind me of cooked food. This song is about a drug, but it could easily be applied to SAD food!!

"I Got You" by Stone Temple Pilots

I got you
But its the craving for the good life
That sees me through troubled times
When the mind begins to wander to the spoon

And I got you
Because your there to bend and nurture me through these
Troubled times
cause the fix begins to twist my troubled mind

And I got you to paint the sorrow on my day
And I got you to paint the roses on my grave
And I got you

I got you
But its the feeling that I get when your away
Twist my mind cause Im all alone and cold, gone I feel like dyin
And I got you to fill the craving that I get inside my mind
When youre there to fill the space I have inside, I feel like crying

And I got you to paint the sorrow on my day
And I got you to paint the roses on my grave

Post your songs that inspire you to eat raw!!

Here's another one:

"Sensation" by The Who

You'll feel me coming
A new vibration
From afar you'll see me
I'm a sensation.
I'm a sensation.
I overwhelm as I approach you
Make your lungs hold breath inside!
Lovers break caresses for me
Love enhanced when I've gone by.
They worship me and all I touch
Hazy eyed they catch my glance,
Pleasant shudders shake their senses
My warm momentum throws their stance.
You'll feel me coming
A new vibration
From afar you'll see me
I'm a sensation.
Soon you'll see me can't you feel me
I'm coming...
Send your troubles dancing I know the answer
I'm coming...
I'm coming...
I'm a sensation.
You'll feel me coming
A new vibration
From afar you'll see me
I'm a sensation.
I'm a sensation.
I leave a trail of rooted people
Mesmerised by just the sight,
The few I touched now are disciples
Love as One I Am the Light...
I Am the Light!

I am a WHO fanatic!

DH and I like to turn the lyrics of songs from "Love" to "Lunch" to be silly.

"Baby, baby....where did our lunch go?"

"Gotta whole lotta lunch"

"Aaaaaaat laaaaaast, my lunch has come along...my lonely days are over, and life is like a song"

Try it...it's fun.

A line from a song called "Simple Meditation" by Singing Bear goes:

........"I'm drinking fruit juice that's organic, I've been eating raw foods that are exciting".........

It's a very upbeat song. I absolutely love Singing Bear! He'll be playing at the Raw Spirit Fest in Sedona.

The first few verses of "Cowboy Take Me Away" by the Dixie Chicks:

I said I wanna touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly

I wanna sleep on hard ground
In the comfort of your arms
On a pillow of bluebonnets
In a blanket made of stars

Oh it sounds good to me

Another one I remembered:

(Nothing But) Flowers by Talking Heads

Here we stand
Like an Adam and an Eve
Waterfalls
The Garden of Eden
Two fools in love
So beautiful and strong
The birds in the trees
Are smiling upon them
From the age of the dinosaurs
Cars have run on gasoline
Where, where have they gone?
Now, it's nothing but flowers

There was a factory
Now there are mountains and rivers
you got it, you got it

We caught a rattlesnake
Now we got something for dinner
we got it, we got it

There was a shopping mall
Now it's all covered with flowers
you've got it, you've got it

If this is paradise
I wish I had a lawnmower
you've got it, you've got it

Years ago
I was an angry young man
I'd pretend
That I was a billboard
Standing tall
By the side of the road
I fell in love
With a beautiful highway
This used to be real estate
Now it's only fields and trees
Where, where is the town
Now, it's nothing but flowers
The highways and cars
Were sacrificed for agriculture
I thought that we'd start over
But I guess I was wrong

Once there were parking lots
Now it's a peaceful oasis
you got it, you got it

This was a Pizza Hut
Now it's all covered with daisies
you got it, you got it

I miss the honky tonks,
Dairy Queens, and 7-Elevens
you got it, you got it

And as things fell apart
Nobody paid much attention
you got it, you got it

I dream of cherry pies,
Candy bars, and chocolate chip cookies
you got it, you got it

We used to microwave
Now we just eat nuts and berries
you got it, you got it

This was a discount store,
Now it's turned into a cornfield
you got it, you got it

Don't leave me stranded here
I can't get used to this lifestyle
