Last night I got the pizza made.

I put the barley in the blender with just enough water to blend smooth. Then I ground up enough flax seed in the coffee mill to make a doughy consistency.

The picture is what it looks like right out of the dehydrator and the slice hopefully shows the nut cheeze.

I wish I had had more toppings but the store was closed when I made it.

I snuck a piece this morning and it is YUMMY!

WOW.....I'm impressed. Exactly which pizza recipe did you use because I made the eggplant recipe and didn't care for it, although many people on this board seem to like it.

Well that does it, enough putting off buying Alissa's book (the reason I bought every other book except hers is that it's not available in Canada, at least where I checked, and all others are). I just placed a $115 order on naturalzing, including her book, I can't wait to get it.

I recently bought The Raw Gourmet and am dissapointed, more than half the book seems to be salads or other low calorie meals which I can't eat (I'd literally be eating 20-40 meals a day if I ate those things as I have about 4000 cals/day).

I have a pizza in the dehydrator now! mmmmmm!

My toppings:
baby portabella mushrooms
onions
green peppers
hot peppers
tomatoes

Will have this for dinner for the next several days, with some spinach salad/creamy Italian dressing from RAWvolution.. mmmmmm!

Thanks everyone!
The pizza is delicioso! Magnifico!

I made the barley crust.
In her book she doesn't say how to make the crust (I don't think).
So I put about a cup of lightly sprouted barley seeds (soaked over night then sprouted about a day) (I find seeds get acidic if sprouted too long when you see roots and to me don't taste good at all) but I put a cup of seeds in the blender with enough water to blend. I do this till all the barley is blended. Then I grind up flax seed and put that in the blended barley until the dough becomes very doughy.

You are all invited to a pizza and chili party! :D

It does say how to make the crust.. She said to make it 1/4" thick then make the edges thicker for the 'crust'. I have a gorgeous pizza that I am about to take a pic of, then post later!! (before I cut into it!)

Just had one slice of Alissa's pizza for dinner and a small spinach salad. I cannot believe I am full already! (this is a person who used to easily eat 4 slices of regular, cooked pizza!)

Also... I will attempt to re-size my pics so I can post them here.. (too big, I just found out!)

ok you all are making me drool! When I make pizza it is a dangerous thing cause I want to eat all! Last time I made it for a raw food potluck cause I swore that I wouldn't make it again until I had people to share it with. Everytime I make it I gain weight! I just recently made the spicey peanut coconut noodles and I am the only one who eats it and I have enough to eat for days. Wish a had a raw friend nearby!:(

WOW nice pizzas!! I will also bring pizza to a raw potluck! Everyone loves pizza!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

(except my husband who hates tomatoes and cheese--even though it's not real cheese)!

O.K. on page 408 on the Pizza recipe she wrote:

"1. Combine all ingredients for whichever crust recipe you are using in a food processor until well blended and smooth."

My sprouted barley would not blend up in my food processor so I had to put it into my blender.

I know my blades are sharp and the processor is pretty new.

Any of you have success with doing the barley crust in the processor?

Starfire,
Wow, can I please join your table? I'm on a 25 hour restriction to sweets/fruits (candida diet for this time frame only) which I love so leave them off the table, but I can eat mostly everything else. This is absolutely goregous. What's on pizza?

I have to find Alissa's chili recipe now. Come to CO where a kitchen, a wonderful hubby and a dog would welcome you including our local rawlucks! I got the bed already waiting for you! We don't have the rainbows you do, but we got fabulous fellowship and home to my buddy, Brigitte Mars too.

Thanks for sharing.

I dried cherry tomatoes and mushrooms in the dehydrator and they would be sooo good on pizza. .the mushrooms have a really meaty texture when reconstituted.

We should all move in together.
I'll do the gardening (and the eating, lol).
Seriously. Someone needs to start some sort of raw cooperative living kind of thing.
The pizzas look great, BTW. I really want a dehydrator! Until then, I guess I'll just make do with portabella mushroom cap pizza crusts.

Debra,

Thanks for ingredients. I have some portobella mushrooms, broccoli, squash and thinking of tonight using that in dish for rawluck.

You moving or Modern Manna? Hope Danny doing great!
