My before and in progress photos

I've been all raw for 7 and a half months now. I am basically a new person inside and out! I have released 50 pounds so far. I haven't been ready to post any photos until now, but my daughter has convinced me that these new photos are good enough to share.
I don't consider myself done yet. I still need to lose about 25 pounds, so I am a work in progress. Of course, I will always be a work in progress!
I must thank all you raw angels here for being my inspiration and encouragement. Enjoy the journey fellow rawbies. RAWK ON !!!!!!

I am STUNNED. I usually don't comment on before and afters, but I just had to say: Before you looked in your forties, now you litterally look in your 20s. You look like a completely different person!!!!
Did you fast during those months?

Thank you everyone! I feel like a different person!!!! I have done only a little fasting. I fast for one day every once in a while when I need energy. I did an 11 day juice fast in May and I may do more fasting if it feels right in the future. I'd really like a helper to make juice for me all day long while I'm at work. I haven't gotten any volunteers just yet! hee heeee;)

it's funny. when i had 100+ pounds to release, i was so overwhelmed. but looking at your pics... you can REALLY see how much of difference 50 pounds makes. why is it when we (the royal we here) are overweight we think it's an all or nothing thing... we have to release all the excess weight or it doesn't count?

you obviously didn't have over 100 pounds to release but look at you... you look sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo great!!!

Point taken Aleesha! I still suffer from can't deal with a compliment syndrome.
Thanks for your reminder! I so agree with your comment up above as well.
By the time I'm done I will have lost 75-80 pounds. (If my body agrees with my brain, that is!) When I imagined that number of pound blocks of butter peeling off of me, it just didn't seem doable.
Now 50 of those babies are melted away and the rest will go, I'm sure. It really is the little steps that make up the whole. I need to remind myself of that every day!!!!!

Shashibala, you're gorgeous! Wow, I can see so much light in your eyes, skin and just your whole self! I used to have the same frames...I just got myself some red hot ones. I never thought I'd wear red glasses, but they're so cool! When you start shedding all of the 'extras', it's so fun to start playing. I hope you're having lots of FUN with your new raw self. :p

Funny you mention this as I just realized today my eye sight is improving!!!! I have kept looking outside today, whipping my head around -- af first I thought someone cleaned all of the windows in the house. Everything is sooooo clear. After reading your post, I think I should schedule an appt with my eye doctor. Hmmm. I wear contacts 90% of the time, but I soon may not need them anymore. Oooh wee. :D

You look great - with or without glasses! I always think glasses give folks character. I may have to wear fake ones...hahaha!

Deb, yes we were juicing at the same time. I think you lasted longer than I did!
I love the experience of feasting. I just found it hard to actually juice that much stuff while working long days. The mornings are so busy and then at night I'd be too lazy. There's my confession! I'm hoping to do it again when I get some time off from work.


And RawHeaven, I agree with oceanee, do keep us posted about you eyes. That is very exciting!

Thank you Oai! I'm 42. The camera was very forgiving the day my daughter took those photos. I do have age appropriate wrinkles and I colored my hair with henna. I felt at least 60 when I started raw. Sick and tired!!!

I'm so amazed at how carrying extra weight ages us, & we don't even realize it until the pounds are finally shed!
(I was shocked at this recently, too, with my before & (partway there) after pics...{they're on my blog}...no-one can tell I've shed almost 60 obs, cuz I have so much to lose, but when I compared pics, I was astounded at the difference!)

I woulda guessed late 20's, too, at the most! :D

Anastazia, You are looking wonderful!! I checked out your blog! Vey cool! I think your 56 pounds has already made a huge difference in how you look. Congratulations!!! Doesn't it feel so good to let go of the weight?
My weight loss has slowed way down, but it's still creeping down slowly. I just eat raw and let my body decide how quickly it can let go of the weight.
