Blood Tests Question

Did your insurance pay for this? I almost never go to the doctor but I wanted to go before I try to conceive and I'd like to get a blood test. However, my midwife warned me that the insurance company will likely not cover this kind of blood testing and that it will be a few hundred bucks out of pocket! :eek:
Is this true? Is there a way to talk to the doctor about it so that it can be covered???

It really depends on your insurance. Share with your doctor the reasons you have for wanting it (what are those reasons?) and ask him/her to find a way for it to be covered. Best of luck!
