I'm new to both of these supplements, but have seen it highly recommended by some raw fooders to get into these. I got a bottle of each at Vitacost, and it says to take one of each after each meal. Is this right, or should I be doing more? I've seen a huge price variation too, with some network marketing companies selling these things at high retail prices(so high you have to become a distributor so you can almost afford the stuff-LOL!), or mid-range at the health food store, or the online retailers like Vitacost that do offer significant savings. I've heard that taking probiotics, enzymes, and blue-green algae(I don't have that one right now due to cost)has benefits too significant to ignore when transitioning to raw and makes it easier to boot. I've been on a high-raw path since last February, with some slip-ups along the way, almost every week, it seems! I'm just hoping I can get past the slip-ups into being more consistent. I'm the only raw-ish person in my household of two - husband has little interest in this.

I think you might like to read Karen DeFelice's book on enzymes. There's too much information for me to try to impart, but one pointer is to take them with the first bite of food. Enzymes have to come in contact with the food in order to help you digest it.

Just eat raw FOODs. expecially juice and blended greens. and lots of them in the beginning when you are transitioning. Raw foods already have enzymes why get something man made when mother nature did such a better job?

Spend that money on ORganic. It will be expensive enough just doing that.

Stay on raw foods for a long time. And if you still feel that you are deficiant then check your blood for deficiancies and see what raw foods you can eat to nurish yourself.
