HEB in Houston

If you go to the HEB in Houston on Westheimer near Chimney Rock, organic avocados are $1.25 each in a pack of 4 and organic mangoes are 1$ each. Strawberries are $3 for a 1 lb. pack. Anyway, just wanted to pass that along. I haven't seen prices this low in a long time.

RawPaw, I didn't realize that you are in Houston! Thanks for the produce price info. I wonder if other HEB's have such a great deal (not to mention organic produce). I live closer to an HEB Pantry (smaller store) that doesn't carry organic anything. Do you think Central Market could match your find? I'll be in that area tomorrow. Thanks again. Oh, I just remembered, I'm doing a Master Cleanse right now. Day 3 just completed. But my family would love this! Thanks!

Central Market does have some good prices, but I haven't been there in a while. I love that place. More competition for Whole Foods. I used to shop at WF exclusively, until everything went up. Actually, they are selling less and less organic stuff everyday, which is odd.

The more popular organic fruits and vegetables get, the better the prices will be.

And stop subsidizing conventional farms, please.

Just got mangos at Albertson's 3 for $1!!! Got a case of 12. Of course, have to wait for them to ripen a little.

StarFire, I'd rather use the mangoes with the SWF. It goes down ok, but the after taste of salt-in-the-mouth ALL day is not fun at all.
