Today, I finally figured out that my head and stomach are not connected. For some reason I thought they were directly connected (not actually).

For the first time today, I made a clear destinction between what my mind craves, and what my stomach craves. I was HUNGRY, and after a full day of 100% raw... I decided to have a couple of rice cakes. I ate until I was full, but realized I needed something more. I craved rice cakes (mentally?) but my body didn't want them. My body wanted an apple. So after 5 rice cakes and a full stomach, I ate an apple and was no longer hungry.

My body needed the apple.
My body did not need what my brain wanted, or what I had a craving for.

I feel like this has opened my mind up to something entirely new!, I need to pay attention to what my body needs, and when this happens (it has happened before) I need to ask myself what my body needs, not what im craving. My body ALWAYS wants raw food. Its the only thing that satisfys me.

"Raw food is the only food that satisfys me" <--- that feels so good to say.

Aleesha has told me a couple of times, in various different posts that I need to listen to my body!, I Finally know what she means!!!! THANK YOU ALEESHA!!

I also had not felt this connection until I'd been raw for a while. I knew it in my mind, but I never really responded to my body's cues until I was raw! I had completely lost touch with my own hunger and nutritional needs. I was a food addict and now I eat food to nourish myself. It is really cool! Congratulations!

Thank you for sharing, it confirms some self realisation too. Discerning the emotional craving and the real body craving. I am still working on this, lol...

Congratulations, you are doing great!
