Hi everyone!
I'm a 16yr old female (17 in a few days) from New Zealand and have been vegan for just over a year. I've been thinking of making the transition to a completely raw diet for a few months and today I decided that it was the day. Since my birthday is coming up soon I've decided that this is kind of like a birthday present i'm giving to myself. Today I ordered a book titled "Rawsome!" - written by Brigitte Mars. Has anyone read that book? What did you think of it?

I'm an aspiring poet - i'm hoping to publish a book one day with many of my poems that i've written. I've never had any training in how to write poetry the "correct way" and quite frankly, don't see a need to write it a certain way! I'm also interested in criminology and have read several books about serial killers and forensic science, however, wouldn't want a career in it. My other interests include animals, photography and astrology.

I left school when I was 14 but i'm hoping to gain the qualifications that I should have at high school by enrolling in foundation studies. I eventually want to have them because I was to persue a career working with animals - but not 100% sure what.

Anyway, this is a great forum and I look foward to posting here. :)

Welcome to the board RubyLeo.

I have the book Rawsome and I love it, it has a ton of recipes and great info on fruits and veggies and there healing properties. Great choice.

You might also think about purchasing Alissa's book it's great for beginners.

As for poetry I don't think any training should be necessary, as some of us just have the gift and just letting it flow naturally has to be better then following a set of rules. I like to write poetry on and off myself but I bet you have more then I do.

Look forward to seeing you around.

Thanks.
After only browsing this forum for a short time i've already seen so many people mention Alissa's book so it must be good.
I'll probably buy it within the next few weeks (or days!).
