I've been using an air purifier for years (Fresh Air by Ecoquest- used to be by Alpine). To be honest, I never noticed a huge difference personally in the quality of the air, but the peace of mind from owning one was very helpful. Also, my son used to have hay fever attacks and has hardly had any in the 3 years we've had the purifier. So that speaks for itself.

My question is that I recently came across some info on ozone and the dangers of it being in a home purifier. I know my purifier does emit low doses of ozone and also uses a UV bulb...that's as much as I know about it. I had to go online to discover what all that means.

Do any of you use purifiers with ozone? What are your thoughts on it? Helpful, hurtful?

I have one of the Ecoquest and I read about the ozone dangers too. Sometimes if I turn it too high I can't breath. I had terrible sneezing fits when I moved into the house I live in know. I breathe better with it but not really sure about the danger levels.

I used to use one of those too and got scared when I read some of the stuff about ozone, so I switched to this one...and I like it. I run it 24/7. I swear I don't work for him, haha.
