I'm really curious about typical colonic prices. I called a place here that does them but haven't heard back yet. I'm wondering how much to expect to pay. Thanks.

I have an excellent C.I. and healthy living is her passion, she calls it her "ministry"...She is very reasonable in my eyes. She charges $65 I think for one or she offers a series of 3 for like $160 ....
I 've heard of places and have been to one that charged way more than this for one colonic (the very first place I went to was "world famous" in that I found it through a popular health book and heard many rants and raves about it...Now that I know what I know about colonics and what is proper in terms of procedures, etc... it was a true rip of in money and in many other ways)

why not????
About an hour before my appointment, I was in great pain from compacted gas (I'm pretty sure). the colonic didn't help that at all(I was told it would help). I barely eliminated anything. It wasn't as successful as I was hoping. I went home still feeling all plugged up :/
I don't know if I'd do it again

I paid $80 each and have had 3 in the last 10 days. I didn't get all that much out until the 3rd one. My understanding is that that's quite normal. Your colon can be a tad shy! I felt so much better even after the first one when not much happened. I wish I had the funds to do it more often.
Thread jack - I never knew if I should tip her. It is done in an alternative doctor's office but I just wasn't sure what to do. I don't tip my doc but I do my massage therapist but my massage therapist is at a massage place. So confused! I usually had the colonics done after work and the doctor's office is closed except for the hydotherapist. I hope I didn't mess up and I wish I had been comfortable enough to ask her.

Thanks...I got a call back and found that she charges $75 for the first visit and $65 after. She recommends doing two sessions b/c she said some people get sick if they only due one b/c it brings toxins to the surface...but I can't really afford two. What to do??? Anyone ever done just one?

I've heard price ranges depending on location. I go to a place in downtown Vancouver, Canada and one session on its own is $95. Buying packages of colonics makes it cheaper.
JennaBoBenna,
Was that your first experience? It is very common for that to happen. I've had 21 colonics (not all in a row). One of my colonics, which was the first in a long time, was very painful and uncomfortable due to gas. Other times, barely anything comes out. Impacted colons are often very dry and the water from colonics helps to soften the poop so it will come out. So, even if nothing comes out, you're still doing your colon good. I have found that if nothing comes out in a colonic, a LOT comes out in the next one. Also, your colon can hold on to everything if you're unsure or not completely comfortable which tends to happen on a first colonic. Find someone really nice that you trust. A series of colonics is most beneficial.
