View Full Version : Raw Food Real World Favorite recipes
This is a post For those of you who have this book. I just recently got this book and love it! I just made the Chocolate banana shake for me and my kids and it was to die for! I also think the 30-second nut milk is ingenius. I wish I had seen a recipe that uses raw nut butters before today. It sure saves a lot of time!
Are there any other recipes in this book that you guys love and are must trys! I tried the spicy peanut coconut noodles already and that was fabulous as well!
The macaroons are my favorite.
I miss this book terribly even though I have to modify a lot of the recipes to make them "really raw". This is one of the few books my husband will be schlepping over to me from the USA when he comes to visit me in Hungary next month.

California Rolls. They're good. Made once according to the recipe, now I take shortcuts.
EDIT: The name of these is really ""Shitake, Avocado, and Pickled Ginger Sushi Rolls.""

Hi Morn!
My favorites are the Bunny Spice smoothie, the granola with nuts and cranberries, almond and brazil nut milk, lasagna and the collard green rolls with the mango/cashew nut cream filling (can't remember the name, but they bill it as Donna Karen's favorite item on their restaurant menu).
When I was in New York last year, we went to their (only Sarma's now) restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. It was fabulous!! Sarma sat at the table next to us...she's a beautiful woman.

The creamy citrus dressing! It's so delicious! It actually makes me want to eat salad!
Thanks everyone. I can't wait to try the macaroon recipe and others mentioned. I just highlighted the back of my book with everyone's suggestions!
Oh and thanks mblessed for the other thread.

Sorry. Not the thai rolls. The "Shitake, Avocado, and Pickled Ginger Sushi Rolls."

Yup...the macaroon, both the blond and chocolate...they are exactly like the ones they sell in the store. The buckwheat cereal is great too. I;ve liked most of the recipes I've made ...will try the granola today..have all the nuts soaking~

The blondie macaroons are incredible, even those who are not raw will love them. The freezer fudge in really great also.
