Hi, I'm new to this site. In fact just joined today : ) A little history: I am 27 and have had a keen interest in alternative health since I was about 12! I grew up with alot of allergies and food intolerences, ezcma and asthma too. My mother took me to a naturapath when I was about 5 and she put me on a diet which I follwed until I was around 12. I never ate sugar, white bread, dairy products, preservatives etc. I remember having sleepovers and my friends thinking I was so strange because my breakfast was 1/2 cup of sunflower, seaseme and pumpkin seeds, soaked in water. Anyway as soon as I hit my teenage years I figured out I had a mind of my own and my friends didn't eat these foods so why did I have to?? Anyway fast forward a few years. Now I'm 27 with a wee bubba who is 3. I have been eating anything and everything for years. I still have asthma and ezcma when I eat too much junk. 8 Days ago I decided to go raw, 100% raw and I'm feeling great. I am determined to loose my baby weight. I am not overweight by any means. I started raw at 173cm tall weight 60.5kg (133.1 punds) But before I had my son I always sat at 55kg (121 pounds) So I am determined to get back there. I Weighed myself on day 6 and had lost 4.4 pounds. another 7.7 to go. Need some support for them times where you want to give up. Anyone want to join me for moral support ?? : )

Awesome! Congrats on your early success. I'm in the process of loosing weight too but my goal is a bit higher than yours (because I'm starting out a lot larger :(

I'm scared to weight myself but should force myself to one of these days. I do however notice the difference in the way I look & feel. My clothes are fitting better and I'm wearing shirts & pants that have sat in my closet for years :)

Thanks. Brownies, you should weigh yourself! Don't be scared :) It's great for motivation. I went home and got my gym gear at luinchtime so I can go straight after work! lol, it'll be the first time I've done something even remotelt physical since I started. I've been worried that I will run out of energy?

then don't weigh yourself. who cares what the scale says... it's more important how you feel!

i've released (as most of you already know) over 130 pounds in 10 months...and the scale often told me i hadn't released when i was feeling thinner... i found it very frustrating to be honest.

so toss the scale!!!

I am trying to lose a total of about 30 pounds. I've lost 5 so far. I've been about 85% raw for the last three weeks. I actually do some days 100% raw, but I have not gotten organized enough to plan ahead and prepare some meals, so I fall back on some cooked foods.:( At least I am trying to keep it healthy foods like beans and whole grains. I commend you for going 100%.

Keep in mind that when you don't have much to lose it comes off slower.

Yay! I'm getting married on 5th September so about a month and a half and I want to be in the best shape ever! Also we are going to Phiket Thailand for our honeymoon so I'll be having to spend a lot of time in my bikini and I Don't want to have to be nervous about my mummy tummy !! Yesterday was my first day doing ANY exercise since I began. I was worried I would have no energy but was so surprised. I just kept running. I also notice the further down the track I get the better my food tastes! What sort of foods are you eating??? Have you found yet that different foods seem to give you more energy and certain ones make you tired?
