Or were you already using very simple natural stuff before going raw? If you look at my thread "skin woes" here, you'll see my question about skin irritations being a possible sign of changes that the body goes through when adapting to a raw lifestyle. Did you find that you really had to give up the commercial stuff, even though it was working, because now your skin reacts to it, or what? Did you also have to give up any makeup? Just curious, about these permutations of the raw lifestyle. I'm beginning to see the truth of going raw affecting more than just what one eats, in my case. It seems that I am more sensitive in general!
I've been using a combination of commercial(pretty basic, no "anti-aging stuff")products, those two being cleanser and sunblock, and one cream, and for my natural stuff, on my body I use extra-virgin coconut oil only, and at night for my face sometimes, my own shea butter balm. Up until today, because my skin is so-o irritated right now, I was wearing a light foundation too.

I was using natural skincare prior to raw. Once raw it makes sense to use chemical-free personal & household products. Kind of defeats the purpose of being so healthy otherwise. There are natural makeup lines like mineral makeup you can use instead of commercial products.

I have become so much more sensitive that I can't tolerate my favorite health food store sun screen or regular toothpaste. I didn't use much else, but now even those have to go!

I didn't use natural products before I went raw. My skin has become more sensitive. I gave up my pricey beauty cream for coconut oil and it is FABULOUS! I'm looking into ordering the mineral powders for coverage-The make-up can be harsh. It burns my eyes some times. I try to watch the chemicals I use to clean with. I'm sensitive to them. Don't use many of them. I don't use sunblock/it would eat my face up. I try to cover it up. The sun makes it red and splotchy. My sense of smell has really been heightened. Things smell so much different now. I sniffed a big box of chocolates the other day and it just smelled heavenly. Had no desire to eat it, no cravings-but it just smelled so fresh and chocolatey. Strange!

Seems to make sense though...no? As you are getteing more healthy on the inside you are on the outside too! :D
I din't use make-up before, and I still don't so can't comment there. Dn't use much in the way of skin products, actually. I used to use skin products for break-outs during pms, but come to think of it I haven't needed to in some time. During the winter I use coconut oil if my face skin gets dry, and I always have used sesame oil on my body. We did already use natural soap/shampoo so no change there.
On an unrelated note I uded to color my hair  and simply cannot now. Not only can I not handle the smell, I get twitchy thinking of the chemicals on my hair/head! I use henna now...which also smells, but it isn't that chemical smell so I'm good. :D
