Hi, forum. My name is Christy and I just joined the site. I have been educating myself about the raw foods lifestyle over the last couple of months and have gotten a juicer and dehydrator. I have been juicing & making green smoothies for myself and my husband regularly. I make raw recipes for dinner a couple of nights a week and cooked foods the rest - I am still in transition. I also include some raw goat's milk cheese in our diet and some eggs for my husband as he lost weight quickly when I tried to do all vegan. Neither of us is really trying to lose weight...well, I'll be honest - I'm female and basically would always be happy to lose a few =) but am doing raw foods for health, not weight loss. My husband, on the other hand, really needs to gain some weight! He has lost a ton since we got married 2 years ago (he eats much healthier now that I'm buying the food!).
We just moved to the central NC coast a month ago. I am from CA and he is from TX. So - that's me! Nice to meet you. :)

What part of NC are you in ? I'm in Virginia which is close to NC.. I'm actually near the border of NC/VA and go to NC a lot. I love it there.

I am in the Wilmington area.
I'm dehydrating my first batch of strawberry-banana fruit leather! Hopefully snacks like this will get my "DH" on the bandwagon. ;)
