I searched and can't seem to find any Raw Restaurants in Southern Cal - San Diego area.

Cilantro Alive looks to be closed. Does anyone know of any in San Diego area?

Thank you Revvel................it says on the website that Cilantro is closed and supposedly to open this month. I guess I'll give them a call.

Yep, I'll have to call to see if and when they are opening up again.

Wow, it doesn't look like the Hillcrest one is supposed to reopen - I always ate there whenever I flew down to visit my family. Here is another tiny raw cafe in Leucadia (beach town in North County).

I also reccomend going to jimbo's markets. They are sort of like Whole Foods but family owned. They carry a few raw prepared items in their deli section from a place up in Huntington Beach. They also carry a line of raw packaged ice cream (tomerblies, I think?) and they have a nice organic salad bar and juice bar. I go there every time I am down as well.

Hi Cindy,

I will have to look this up. I'm looking for a nice restuarant to eat at. Jimbo's is great. I love it.

Well my best reccomendation for a nice restaurant would be to drive to Costa Mesa to 118 Degrees. It is one of the nicest raw restaurants I've been to and one of the tastiest. I often make the drive from San Diego to eat there. Otherwise pickins are slim - there aren't really even any nice vegetarian restaurants down there - except for Spread I think it's called? Never been - but it is all cooked and not even all vegan. You might have luck calling ahead and asking them to prepare something special. Good luck.
