I got this recipe from a person at a raw food potluck I went to just recently. The recipe calls for dried figs, but I used fresh figs and then I refrigerated them when I was done.
I love these! I made 2 batches of them and served them at a party and my non-raw friends loved them as well!

Fig and Date Squares (Gone Raw) Excellent!
Fig and Date Filling
2/3 C dried figs (6) I used fresh figs
2/3 C dates, pitted (6) - used madjool
1 T lemon
1 T raw honey
Crumbly base and topping
1 C peacans or walnuts (I used pecans)
1/2 C almonds
1/2 C shredded dried coconut
5 large dates pitted
1/2 t cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
Place filling ingredients in a food processor and blend to paste. Set aside.
Process nuts, coconut, cinnamon and salt in food processor Unitl coarsely ground.
Add dates one at a time and process until mix stars to stick together.
In 9 X 7 rectangular pan/dish (for thin cookies) or square pan/dish for thickers oneslll arrange 1/2 crumble as base. Spread filling mix over that. Sprinkle with remaining crumble on top. Press layers together with back of a spoon. Cut into squares. If want warm squares, you can place either pan, or squares in dehydrator 2-4 hours.
