Well just looking for some last-minute motivation to eat a nice healthy dinner when I go out tonight. I've been emotionally up and down the past few days, feeling not that great at times, and a lot of smoking cravings (I quit 4 months ago). And plus today was stressful at work I made some stupid mistakes that made me feel like an idiot.
Anyways, in short, all the stress is making me crave some emotionally comforting food. Any words of wisdom to stay motivated while I'm out tonight?
Thanks a bunch,
Brian

You have to re-frame your thinking. Just think how crappy you will feel after. Then tell yourself your only choice is raw food for health!:D

You are worth it! A minute on lips guilt/stomach ache/regret for the rest of the night!
Make some zucchni noodles and a nutty sauce or just eat an avocado or make some raw chocolate mix with raw nuts and banana ice cream watch a movie and unwind.
You can do it!
Better yet go to the gym and work it out...

Hey, if you managed to quit smoking you're strong enough to make it through ANY craving! Best wishes and congrats on quitting smoking.

Thank you all for the feedback. It was great I told me friend I was starving and was willing to go eat some Indian food or something of the sort, and he wouldn't let me give in, even though he is a huge carnivore and doesn't have any interest in raw at all :) I thought that it was nice that he actually cared.
Thanks again.

Hi there,
If you have time, do some deep breathing and visualization before you go out. Envision yourself succeeding in eating a raw healthy dinner and meeting all your health goals and being healthy and vibrant.
Keep telling yourself that nothing tastes as good as raw feels.
Try to focus more on the companionship of the people that you are with and on the conversation that on the food.
You can do it!!!!
Blessings,
Audrey

Good luck to you with going out to eat with friends and family.. I've had to do that lately and once was hungry before we all went out to eat... I could have eaten some salad there but I just sat and talked with family instead.
It killed me almost though because I was hungry and they were all sitting there munching on down. :( Another time I was at my aunt's house and we had the cooked dinner, shish kabobs, baked potatoes, steak, squash casserole and some good SAD dips/chips and processed salsas I wanted to chow down then but I didn't because I knew that IF I did I would hurt myself worse than sitting there eating my fruit I was eating... I've also been invited this summer to cook outs and to eat with friends and I used to love eating at Mexican or Italian places and it KILLS me right now that I can't with the health problems I know it'll make me hurt worse than eating fruits or vegetables raw.
BUT, I know that I'm going to be healthier when I get this diet and the smoothies right. It's hard I feel your pain because I've always been a vegetarian but right now the meat even looks good now because of the cravings for what we grew up on...

Stay true to YOUR goals. If your goals REQUIRE healthy eating....you will be no more tempted to eat something else than you would be to trash your car or something. You need it.....so you maintain it.
