Horror Story!

Raw food is fabulous but can have its moments. I just started to make my morning smoothie. Just before putting my frozen bananas back in the freezer, I took my straw I'd left out on the counter and tried to suck the air out of the banana bag and with my first breath promptly sucked straight into my mouth an EARWIG! Well, you've never seen anyone spit anything out so fast or hard!!! I spat and spat and spat and then washed my mouth out with soap all the while doing some kind of crazed dance in my head I think (that's the only way I know how to describe the horrified feeling!) That's what I get for not being careful enough when I wash my greens. And don't leave your straws out on the counter - they make mighty fine little hidey-holes!:eek: :eek: I can't believe he didn't bite me - but I was way too fast for him as you can imagine!

OH MAN!!!!
one time i was doing my neti pot, and a spider crawled and hid in the hollow handle part.... eeek.
luckily, he just went in side, and out of other before i knew what was happening.

i'm sure we all have out insect horror stories!

Once my sister put on a pair of cowboy boots on- a roach was in the cowboy boot, ran up her jeans leg on the inside- OMG, you should have seen her jumping and running and screaming and trying to get that boot and then those jeans off- it was SO FUNNY!!! We all (her brothers and sisters) almost died laughing!! This same sister was going to the prom, and my mother was ironing her evening gown for her as she was getting ready- my mom reached for the spray starch, accidentally picked up a can of Raid bug spray, and proceeded to spray it all over the dress before she realized she had Raid!! We were all sworn to secrecy, until after the prom, and my sister never had a clue! Of course we told her after, dying laughing again, hahahahaha!!! Never a dull moment at our house!

When I see a fruit fly in my glass of water I normally drink it for vitamin B12. And the other day while riding my bike an insect got in my mouth and I swallowed it intentionally, why would I refuse free natural vitamin supplements flying into my mouth? lol

Another day I was biking shirtless and this insect I didn't see bit me on the stomach and it pinched quite hard and left a small hole with a bit of blood coming out, don't know what it was though as I slapped it off of me immediately.

uuuuuuuuuu-aaaaaaa!!! that's ...yikes

i bought some greens from a farmers market in a plastic bag... and was just eating them out of it like chips... with my boyfriend in the car.. then after another handful i looked in the bag and there was a SPIDER AAA my boyfriend said it's the most poisonous in the world actually but they can't bite through human skin anyway. yiiiiikes either way i'm glad i didn't eat it..but maybe i ate some of its relatives before discovering this one? uuh :eek:

i'll have to ask him! he said it's the one that's really poisonous and could easily kill but it small and can't actually bite humans..lol i'll ask!
